The Giant Killers
CRAWLEY TOWN
The Red Devils were formed in 1896, climbing through the local football ranks before turning semi professional in 1962. The following year they stepped up into the senior non league ranks by joining the Southern League before stepping up to the National Conference in 2004. It was as a Conference side, knocking on the door or promotion to The Football League that they hit the headlines in 2011 when Championship Derby County were beaten by a stoppage time goal.
